It runs alongside the beach at Newquay, although there are plenty bunkers around the course too – especially surrounding the greens – so you may find yourself in the sand without joining the sunseekers on the shorefront.

On the subject of the greens, they play fast and true and are also sloping so accuracy is at a premium. Likewise, however, if your tee shots on the par-3s are good enough, you will put yourself in a good position for hole-in-one.
